Rita at CoffeeShop Free Photoshop Actions has done it again! Her Vivid 2 action is out and is spectacular! And it works in Photoshop Elements as well as Photoshop.

This action has the following 4 color pop options:
- Soft
- Vivid
- Urban
- Bright
And, unlike the earlier version of Vivid, this one has layer masks so that you can moderate the color pop effect on skin
In addition, there is a fabulous vignette, that, in my opinion, is the be-all end-all of vignetting. You don’t have to use a brush or draw a rectangle. It works automatically!
Are you new to actions? Need a layer mask refresher course? I wrote a tutorial to accompany CoffeeShop Vivid 2. And I’m here to help if you have questions!

Thank You! I sooo appreciate those free actions and you’re wonderful for teaching us how to do them!
Your tutorials are wonderful but for some reason my actions aren’t loading properly. Help, what else can I do? They are currently in the photo effects folder but I don’t see them in my effects list and I rebooted several times.
Hi Alisa,
Which version of PSE are you using? XP, Vista or Mac?
Erin
PSE 6.0 with XP!
Alisa,
Did you work through all the Possible Gotchas at the end of this page?
http://digitalphotographyformoms.net/photoshop-elements-help/installing-actions-in-photoshop-elements/installing-actions-in-pse-6-on-xp/
Let me know how that works!
Erin
Erin,
I went through all the steps and I still don’t see the coffee cup thumbnail. I see a new thumbnail called average though, how did that get there? I need to restart my computer when I get home and see if that will do the trick, if not I will start all over again. Thanks for all your help and making the tutorials!
Alisa,
Average is a thumbnail I have also and is, I believe, part of Photoshop. Maybe you hadn’t noticed it before?
If it doesn’t work when you try again, tell me exactly what you’re doing and we’ll get it figured out.
Erin
Erin, thanks for the plug! And thank you so much for helping me on my soon-to-be-release portrait action. Without your advice and tuturials I would be up a creek! I somehow need to convince you to move down here and be my best friend next door neighbor who will pop over, have a coffee, and play with photo-editing with me.
It’s me again. I deleted my database and restarted my pc and that did the trick so now I can see my new actions, thanks for all your help!
